Green hair, I've started filtering with RO now, but before I used tap. I figured it would e an easy way to clean up, and they seem to live short productive lives.
She said she had a coralline algea burst. Which I the hard purple/red you get on live rock.
And yes when I first started I used tap water and had horrid hair algea.
6lines tend to be aggressive towards everything though eh?
If I had I pick I'd put in two others and get rid of the 6...
(However with the issues you had with your tank maybe keep the 6 since he's working out!)
Coperband is supposed to be one of te hardest.
How long did your angels make it? This really is a little odd. I lost a few during my firt few months (chromis and cardinals fighting it out) but once it settled down the only fish I've lost was an angel after a major water change that I think...
Was about to write there is no way a flame can fit in there.
The firefish and goby are both peaceful. So either should be fine. Watch out for the fire though, they can be jumpers!
Your water reads good... How high was ammonia? Could be a dead fish. Coralline is good right?
I love wrasses. Christmas or hoevan's. Both are hardy and easy. (They do jump occasionally). Gobies as well.
Nurse, my LFS asks a LOT of question if you want to buy a butterfly... They actually won't stock some because they are so difficult.
Your acclimation seems really good though!
Also maybe I'm thinking of the wrong cowfish, but I think it gets 1 1/2 feet?!? Also I think they are toxic? If stressed they can release it and kill other fish.
Damsels and 6line = not peaceful.
6 lines in particular have a rep for being jerks. I hate green chromis ... Everyone says they are easy and hardy... I've never been able to keep them.
What were your water parameters?
Butterflies are tough... Have you read up on that one? Also that tank may...
