Sea hare

I have some green algea and was thinking about getting a sea hair. I know some can be rather toxic...

Any experiences? Good idea/bad idea?

IIRC they only eat Bryopsis and other Hair Algae. What type of algae do you have?

Green hair, I've started filtering with RO now, but before I used tap. I figured it would e an easy way to clean up, and they seem to live short productive lives.

They can lead long productive lives but to be safe you might want to loan it to the next person with a hair algae problem. They can live just fine off of raw Nori sheets. They do get rather large though...

I heard a year tops? And generally 4-7 months??

How big?

They grow to about a foot long. They're bulky though, think of something like a big shoe sitting in the tank.

I think you're on track with the lifespan.

Does this give you an idea of how big they can get?

Oh geesh... I have a 65... That thing would take up a 3rd of my tank!!!
