It shouldn't matter that much if it's off by .001-.002 if your only adding rock

Well you can use your rock. I thought you kept it in your hypo tank which I was thinking such a huge jump in salinity might just kill it

Yeah he's in the QT tank. I'll be sure to keep it right at 1.009. Also about the ph I've read it gets hard to keep it up what level is lethal to fish and what effects could low ph have on him

Yup the Achilles brought home some friends. My salinity is 1.024. What will happen if once it gets down to 1.009 and then goes back up .001-.002?

A kole tang should be fine in your tank for a few months you should also look at some of the bristletooth tangs
