    Fishie??

I would do either a blenny or goby since you already have two swimming fish. I'm picking up a hi-fin banded goby later this week.

Well, I've had the clown for 6 years or so and he's never learned to stay away from the LPS, so I doubt he ever will. I'm using a Canon Rebel XT with a diopter to take the macro shots. I will try and get some photos of the entire setup tomorrow after work!

Thanks! At this point I'm not going to add more live rock. I have made the mistake of adding too much LR before and therefore not having room for more corals that come attached to larger pieces of rock. Nemo sleeps at the top of the tank and therefore is always getting stung; silly fish!

    Appy's Solana Journal

I hope to keep up this thread to track my progress. I bought this setup on December 26 froma friend. All livestock was transferred from my 24g NC to the Solana. I had no losses and everything looks fantastic. Everything in the tank is stock with an extra Koralia for more flow. Lighting is...

    Bad News Please Read This

Nice to see that my post went unnoticed by those who are certain any change is not created directly by humans. The earth goes through climate changes, but this one has been very rapid and can be directly correlated with human activity. Again, see the chart I posted before which was produced in...

    Bad News Please Read This

Here is a recent graph published by the IPCC Deny it all you want, but it is happening and we are a large factor in it. We can already see the effects in disease virulence, hurricane activity, etc. I would love to take a class offered next semester in it, but it just won't fit into my schedule.

    Getting a Solana

I'm picking up a Solana from my friend since he is moving to the Keys and doesn't want to move his tank. So I'm getting it super cheap! I want to know what everyone has done as far as upgrades to their Solanas. Any thing I should watch for? His gass top is broken so I think I'll just pick up...

    Photos of my 24g NanoCube

Right now there's my clownfish, a blue flasher wrasse and a yellow clown goby. The goby hangs out in the back and my wrasse has a very strict sleep schedule so you can't see him hehe. I plan to remove the clown goby and add a Midas blenny. As far as coral, I'm just adding what catches my eye...

    Photos of my 24g NanoCube

Here are some photos of my 24g nano cube. I have a 150watt Aqualight over it, running a 14K Phoenix bulb. i'm really pleased with how this is coming along. Previously I had the stock lights over the tank and had uncontrollable hair algae after it had be running a couple years. After...

    Feeding Acans and pictures

I just bought a few Aussie Acans at MACNA on Friday. I want them to grow as fast as possible. How often should I feed and what variety of foods do you use? I have been feeding mysis daily and putting some Rod's food coral blend in every few days.

    16g bowfront mixed reef!

I'm moving the few corals from my 24g into here while that tank gets fixed. I'll take more pictures when they open up! I love sexy shrimp too. I had 3 but 2 died the same day for some unknown reason. Something must have contaminated the tank somehow. just my one survived. Shes a girl. I...

    16g bowfront mixed reef!

Thanks The blennies are getting plenty to eat. They get 2 cubes of mysis each day. They are lazy, there are still plenty of pods and flatworms for them to eat if they want. If they ever start to look skinny, I have a place for them to go.
