My huma huma has never bothered my eel, at least that I have seen. But he gives my clown trigger fits from time to time. And the clown is bigger than the huma huma.
That was my worry to about the clown picking on anything else and it may still happen but that is the one fish I had to have. I took down my reef tank and sold everything to raise money for a larger tank just so I could have one.
Nothing special really. Standard 6' 125 tank. I bought a home made wet/dry filter which was made with a 40 gallon breeder tank (4' long) with maybe an 18 tall that sits inside of it for the bio filter. 120 pounds crushed aragonite substrate with about 75 pounds of live rock. Excallibur skimmer...
I have both in my 125 but 75 is going to be small for a clown trigger sooner or later. Right now my picasso is the bully even though he is smaller than the clown. And i am sure my 125 will be small for them later on.
Sorry Ophiura I meant my huma huma picks on my clown trigger. 180 dude said he had a huma in his reef and I was saying my huma picks on my clown trigger. There is no way I would put one in a reef. But that is just my experience and I know all triggers have their own personallity. And I know I am...
Not sure about the discharge, mine did that to. Dont worry about the claws, I broke mine when I first bought him and when I sold my reef I kept him for my 20 gallon and broke them off of him then to.
Bacffin, In the reef tank I had I kept a cleaner shrimp, fire shrimp and a coral banded shrimp. I personally never had any problems with the 3 together. The only thing was that the fire shrimp hid all the time.
Darthtang good luck with the seahorses. I had a couple in a tank for a few months. I have really been thinking alot lately of getting rid of the fish in my 125 and adding pairs of seahorses. How many would fit in a 125?
I dont think 1/4 inch glass will be thick enough to hold that volume of water. I dont know how many gallons that would work out to but my 72" long 125 is made of 3/8 inch glass and your dimensions sound like a lot more water than my tank holds. I know someone here can calculate how much water...
I am not an expert by no means( only had aggressive fish for about 6 months) but I think a dwarf lion would be ok with the eel but just be prepared for the niger trigger to get BIG. I dont know about the goby so I will let someone else answer that. My initial thought though is that a goby may...
But I can't forget the first one I heard that I wasn't supposed to hear when I was about 13, Richard Pryor. Also used to like Sam Kinison. That was one crazy man. Where is the smilie with censored on it for these two?
Larry the Cable Guy is coming to town here in June so we are going to try to go seen him here. There was a Ron White show on last night. Like a 30 minute sketch show that was pretty good. Cant remember what channel though. Maybe WB.
If you have never seen Ron White by himself be prepared as his standup when by himself is nowhere near the same as it is in the Blue Collar Comedy tour. It is a lot more profane but still hillarious. I bought one of his dvd's and I believe that is the hardest I laughed at somebody in a while.
Not sure about the butterfly but I have a goldentail eel, niger, picasso and a lunare wrasse and my new clown trigger hasnt bothered any of them. In fact the little picasso bullies him around.
1st would be my new clown trigger.
2nd would be my lunare wrasse.
3rd would be my niger trigger. He gets impatient at feeding time and spits water out of the tank at me if I dont feed fast enough for his liking.
