    RO/DI Units

Okay. I was pretty sure I didn't have to worry about chloramines. What PSI do I need?

You know, after doing some more thinking, I think the phosphate reactor and a RO/DI unit will be enough.

    RO/DI Units

Well, I'm on a well, so what would you recommend for well water? Thats the other thing, I have to make sure I have enough pressure. What is the target psi for RODI units? So, after what you said I have this: 5 Micron Sediment Filter 5 Micron Carbon Block Chlorplus 1 Micron Carbon Block 75...

Okay. How long did it take for the algae to start growing on the screen? When did you start noticing results in your DT?

Do you run the lights on the ATS 24/7, or just at night?

I'll run GFO initially to get rid of the phosphates, then run carbon. I think the only way I can do a ATS is in a bucket to the side of the tank with a light on only one side. But I'll make sure it has enough surface area on the one side for it to be effective. So, now I need to go pick up some...

Yeah, I'm really considering building one too. I think the ATS in combination with an RODI unit and phosphate reactor should take care of the issue.

    RO/DI Units

Hello, everyone. I'm currently comparing two RO/DI units, and would like some input from you. I'm looking at the 75 GPD Typhoon unit made by AWI, and the units made by BRS. The reviews are excellent on both, so I'm curious as to whether there is a large difference in quality. For the BRS unit...

Sounds good. You've kept tanks before?

Its just the ViaAqua poly reactor. Nothing special. I think I'm going to see if I can cancel the order. I just need to figure out where I'm going to put the ATS. I'm going to re plumb my drain line so that some water is diverted to the ATS, which will drain into the return section of my sump...

I was thinking about an ATS. I've been debating between that and a refugium. A refugium would be easier to put in my system than an ATS, but I think an ATS would be more effective. I just need to figure out where I'm going to put it.

Well, for starters, how long has the tank been set up? How big is this tank and what kind of fish do you have? I see a clownfish (maroon?) in the picture.

I'm declaring war against the hair algae in my tank. First thing I'm going to try is a phosphate reactor. I was hoping the new skimmer would solve the issue, and it has helped, but not enough. I actually have the phosphate reactor coming, but it is on backorder. As it has been for two months...
