Everyone post a picture of your tank here please

The rocks are pretty much leaning up against the back. There are some spaces back there for swimming but most of my rock is pretty small and needed to be leaning against the back for extra stability. flip:jumping:

    Cynobacteria Question

do a search on cyanobacteria and look for a post called "How to rid your tank of "Red-Slime! There is some good information on it there. It helped me to see what was causing it and how to get rid of it. HTH flip:jumping:

Is any ick medicine ok to put in my salt water tank?

I used 'kick ick' in my display tank as I had no way of getting the fish out of there without removing 250 lbs of LR and I had lost a few fish already. My Tang survived the outbreak. So I would certainly use it again....though I would prefer never to encounter Ick in my display again. flip:jumping:

Everyone post a picture of your tank here please

Thanks...it's a little like a horseshoe I guess...I wanted a 'beach' in the front and I wanted to hide the pumps and such around the back and ends. Mostly though it's in there in such a way that we don't have rock avalanches and we still have tunnels and caverns for the fish. flip:jumping:

    Reef First Aid Echinodermata Envenomation

These are great posts! Would it be possible to get them posted as Stickies in the Newbie section? I know that as a newbie, I rarely ventured out of the newbie section except when doing a search. This is very important information that could save a life or at the very least...a lot of pain...

    sump/ refugium questions?

Thanks for the reply Squidd, its a reef tank. I guess one of the things I was looking at was what kind of skimmer to get..an HOT or an in sump...thus the questions about the sump and refugium. I think I am going to get the HOT skimmer and hold off on the sump and refugium until I think I am more...

    sump/ refugium questions?

I am looking at purchasing a sump...but the more I read, the more I am confused. It sounds like a sump is a filter system...but I already have a canister filter that I am very happy with. I was hoping to have a sump/refugium though so I can put my heaters and a skimmer in it and of course grow...

    urchens

I have a sea urchin in my FOWLR tank and it is doing great. I heard they are not reef safe so he will be staying in my smaller tank. Though at my lfs, I saw an urchin that was labelled 'reef urchin' so there may be some types that are reef safe. flipper:jumping:

    Shells from Mexico

My mom brought me some absolutely beautiful sea shells from Mexico.....the thing is....she soaked them in bleach before transporting them to Canada so that they wouldn't smell. My question is...what (if anything) can I do to make them safe to put in my tank? I have them soaking in fresh water...
