    what is wrong?

I'll take a stab at it. Zoas are funny, I have found that they tak a long time to adjust to your tank, once they feel comfortable then they are at their best. Your lights I don't know if they are enough, some zoas like alot of bright light and others are fine with med light. what size is your tank?

    sps question

Thanks for the reply. The plate coral I was talking about my fault was the LPS type not sps type, but i found out they get to quite a size, beautiful though but not for my little tank. As for the crab, I found out that if you have rics they also will host in them as they are close to an anemone...

    Florida Ricordea

Well that is good to know about the orange one for sure. I did not think for a moment it was not doing well due to its size and it never stretches up either, the color is amazing and is my favorite for sure. I am going to move the purple ones and see what happens with them.

    Florida Ricordea

Bulbs were just replaced last month. This small 9" fixture does not reach the other side of this tank so yes the main light is right below the width of it. I will move the purple ones over and maybe towards the front too. The orange one would be in the same place as the purple ones but at the...

    Florida Ricordea

These you cannot see through at all. Their colors are great and very bright. I was just wanting to see if others felt the same way as what I was told about them being so big is a sign of lack of light. To me it would be the other way around, if they were teeny tiny and not growing and like you...

    Florida Ricordea

Their actually a very dark purple with pink mouths, they each have a pellet in them so they might be closing up on it. I just took a look at them now and they are basicaly laying flat. I am trying to decide on a new fixture that is a 36 watt at the moment would this be overkill??

    Florida Ricordea

In my 3 gal pico tank that has 18 watts pc lighting I have two different colored rics in there. The one is absolutley huge. The color is amazing and its very healthy but I was told it was this big because it is not getting enough light. Would this be true??

    sexy shrimp in pico

I have 2 of them right now, but wanted to add more. I do have rics and these two are always playing in them. They are very tiny indeed but so cute too. I like them so much in a small tank as you can really see them and they are fun to watch. Thanks....

    ricordia ??

Hello, it depends on which kind of rics you want, Yumas or Florida's. Yumas drop babies when they multiply and Florida's split. I have Florida's as I much prefer the look of them over Yumas. I have two rics and the orange one i bought the size of a dime its now the size of my hand a year later...

The hardiness of a Ric's? Help Please

Well don't know if i can be a whole lot of help. I have florida rics and the orange one when i bought it, it was attached to a very tiny piece of rubble. The ric at the time was very very tiny too. As it grew i knew i had to move it to a bigger piece of rock, so all i did was take the piece of...

    fixture question

oh well thats okay, i am pretty sure it was dead before it was given to me anyways, might try a birdsnest next as this other guy like i told you said i could have one for free. he also has monti caps but i think that would be just a pain for me to try and keep undercontrol in such a small tank.

    fixture question

Thanks, yes there is alot of purple that is for sure, cannot see any ugly rock as i call it, its all purple. All this growing like weeds with a 18 watt light, tiny hob (tom) filter and heater, its insane but I quite like it. Not sure about the sps though, definatley the white is spreading over...
