    Wrasse Update Help Please

I will post a photo. There does not seem to be any visible problems. He was fine and healthy and then 2 days ago started having bouyancy problems, swimming sideways. Now he seems quite ill. I am very worried about him and rather sad.

    Wrasse Update Help Please

My 6 line wrasse seems to be getting worse. I now have him in a QT tank, he is in just laying in a piece of pipe. He still eats when food is offered but stays upside down. I added an antibacterial medication. Does anyone have any clue what could be wrong?

    6 line wrasse swimming sideways

We also added a few cerith snails a couple of weeks ago and also a diamond goby last week. All are doing fine. A strange thing about the Bangaii and the wrasse. When the Bangaii was in the tank, the wrasse always hung around him. When the Bangaii disappeared the wrasse seemed lost. He tried to...

    6 line wrasse swimming sideways

We had a Bangai Cardinal completely disappear. I'm not sure if something hiding in the rock killed him and he was eaten by cleaner crew or if he died from illness and was eaten.

    A Smoggy Day in L.A.

Well, THAT didn't work! And I won't be going to any of HIS lectures anytime too soon, either! And I was so sure that someone with his "credentials" would have the answer! I was so frustrated that I began to try anything that sounded like it would do the trick - like water clarifiers. Still no...

Do your Clowns swim throught your LR??

My True P. has been in the tank only one week. He went into the tank, found a small corner in the front of the tank and for the most part just stays there. A couple of times he has checked out the rest of the tank, but hasn't gone through the rock. Sometimes he comes to the top of the tank when...

    A Smoggy Day in L.A.

Wow! Did I luck out yesterday! Went to my LFS to discuss the problem. This LFS is great! I drive 20 miles and pass at least 3 other LFSs that I wouldn't spend a dime in. There at least 2 people there who really know their stuff and have been right on the money on their advice - matched...

Lights are brand new. I was running them about 12 hrs./day. I have a small light on my fuge that I run opposite the DT lights. The tank may get about 15 minutes of sunlight early in the morning, but that's about it.

    A Smoggy Day in L.A.

I'm going to have to get test kits for the ALK and CAL. PH = 8.4. The instructions on the bags of sand said I didn't have to rinse it. This is the only step that I did not err on the side of caution. However, the cloudiness from the sand cleared in about 2 days. It was when the algae started to...

46 gl bf. 45lbs. live rock. I can't see that the turbos have eaten in the last two days. I'm experimenting with algae sheets. I just put a 2"x3" piece into the tank attached to a clip. One of the turbos found the sheet and has gorged himself on it. The others haven't found it yet.

Most of the heavy algae that covered my rocks has now been eaten by the snails. Should I give them something like sheet algae now? Or will they survive without any additional food? If I should give something more to eat, how much and how often? Thanks.
