yea, that helps. I have a timer for my daylights, but when I moved some of the tabs got messed up and I couldn't seem to figure it out (I got it 3 yrs ago) so I kinda forgot how long they should be on. Thanks for the hep!!

where do phosphates come from? I dont think I have a test for that. I think someone told me if I used RO filtered water (which I do) I wouldn't have a problem with phosphates. Was I told wrong? Should I go buy a test for it?

o.k. I'm re-reading the article, I don't have to put it in a 10 gal tank, that was just the ratio to of water to med. And when he was talking about uping the temp, I think he meant in his regular tank, right? So I do the dip, then put it in my tank and slowly turn the temp up in my tank, right?

wow, that's a good read. I was thinking I could just dose in my 6 gal, but I can't. My QT tank is only 1 gal. I set it up when I need it to treat fish for ick or whatever. Hmmm this could be a problem.
