It doesn't look cottony. She has had it for a couple weeks so if it was velvet she would probably be sick or be dead. Right? She is very active and eats like a pig. I thought is was ick at first, white spots were all about equal size and the wrasse in that tank had a few ick spots that...

Also, the right fin is the only place she has this. There was some minor ick on some of her tankmates. It is gone now as they are in QT.

My LFS owner sent it home with me when I started. I just assumed everybody used it Yes I will watch..one tank had some phosphate..the Elite is supposed to remove phos and silicate. I'll give it a while and retest.

She is in hypo with 4 others for mild ick..Now her spots are growing. None fell off in hypo or dips.

It's Chemi-Pure Elite, the grande size. Yes, the pore size on the bags I bought to use this with have larger pore size. Is there any reason why I can't use nylons, knee highs, pantyhose? I use pantyhose (just the hose) to cover the intakes on the pumps so my anenome's don't get sucked in. Works...

I purchased a large container of phosphate, silicate,heavy metals ect..remover. I thought it would be divided into several bags but it came all in one big bag. Instructions say not to open bag and divide. Why not, if it is mixed well? What is the risk? My tanks are 72, 55, & 35 gal.....not 200...

Well I went and answered my own question. Rainfords Goby is "aka Court Jester Goby". He is a herbivore. The SWF site said he eats filament algae..and there isn't any in the QT. Any suggestions? Checked out the Clown Goby. Cute little guys also.

Is the clown goby the same as rainfords goby? If so, what does your's eat Meowzer? I have been concerned about the one I have in QT. His only tank mate in the 20 is a purple tang and he eats anything but I never see the goby eat a thing. I have tried many dry, pellets, mysis.

Thanks Meowzer, I always enjoy your posts. Yes I do feed garlic, I soak the mysis,brine ect.. in it before feeding. Also the dry food I feed has garlic. I am much more comfortable using hypo or copper though. I don't want to take that chance. I have lost fish before when I originally "caught"...
