have a tomato and a GS Maroon in 100g. added the GS like 3 months after the tomato

ya i guess it was introduced at the end of Aug. it is like 5 foot 6 inches i think and like a 140lbs. it is the 2nd one they have had and before the previous one the longest a great white had been kept was 16 days, so it is safe to say they know what they are doing......hope to see it soon

anyone visited the great white at the monteray bay aqaurium....I live in so cal and want to make the trip up their soon

also he seemed to kinda snip at the fish once and awhile....is this a sign of older age?

my tank is used but was never filled w/ water, unfortunately i do use tap water w/ a dechlorinater, i know this is bad please don't give me any crap..... also none of my hermits have ever died, lost 3 mexican turbo snails but all of my smaller cone shaped ones are still alive ......never used...

before anyone gets the wrong idea about this aquarium they have an open ocean, million gallon aquarium that has 400lbs plus tuna, sea turtles, hammerheads and others, a year or 2 ago they kept a female great white pup for around 160 days and then let it go b/c it began to hunt the other sharks...

it wasn't molting i picked it up by it's leg....nothing, one eye was drooped down the other wasn't it's dead i just don't know why my tank is doing very well and i thought these crabs were relatively hardy....just bad luck i hope

they were picking at him but not really the meat, i hope he wasn't molting cause i tossed him.....if he was molting would he have been on its back also wouldn't it have moved if i grabbed it w/ the net?

i'm sure many of you have heard already that Monteray Bay Aquarium has another young great white in its million gallon tank.....so I was wondering if anyone has gone to see it yet? I live in so cal and it is about a 6-7 hour drive that i'm going to make soon...just need to get time off work and...

my sally lightfoot died today....do these crabs normally live long.... i've only had him/her about a month it was always very quick and always active but today it was on its back getting ate by my hermits

so is there any way to clean the sand just curios b/c people ask if they can use beach sand on this site everyday and i've never heard the suggestion of just cleaning it

i have never had a problem cleaning the algae of my tank before it had always rubbed right off, but i took a vacation a month ago and the algae built up, and when i got home it was way harder to scrape off, i have snails but they leave alot behind. what does everyone use to scrape off tough...

i added a small maroon GS clown into my 100g and i already had a slightly larger tomato that had been in their for about 2 months they fought a little at first but now they are fine, i think the size of my tank was what helped the most, 1 usually stays on 1 side and the other at the opposite end.

thanks... one more question do i need to add anything to the tank to help them survive such as iodine? b/c i don't want to add anything foreign unless i have to

no it actually looks a lot like that just w/ more green i don't know why i posted looking for a blue stripe.......what kind of lighting do u have? I just have flourescent bulbs from the lfs i think they are power-glo and marine-glo bulbs not sure what brand

when i first started it would have been nice to see a reasonabley priced starter tank packages.....it could even have used equipment. I just felt everytime i went into a local fish store there starter sets where so outrageously over priced

after searching a little more i beleive it is a green stripe or maybe a metallic green stripe (if they are not the same thing) still wondering if their is any way it could reproduce with only one polyp
