For color go with some easy coral, mushrooms, ricordea, photosynthetic gorgs. Interesting scape. Is that all live rock pinned together?

Picture appears that some is still growing on the coral. I would frag one or two pieces off the main colony that have color and now algae growth on them and attach elsewhere in the tank.

Possibly a Peyssonnelia sp. algae. Like this.........

Would have thought after all these years the coralline would have grown over all or most of the glass in the vase blocking the view. Great that you have taken the time to explore methods other than the "normal" to propagate coral in such a small system.
