48" Catalina Ultra Reef 2x175 Mh Fixture

$420 shipped with the 10K Ushio MHs and power compacts. I just bought a 36" 2x175 watt MH / T5 fixture for my wife's 60 gallon, and I'd rather keep the 15k's for that one.

48" Catalina Ultra Reef 2x175 Mh Fixture

More / better pics. Ballast is shown on the horses in front of the light. Equipped with quick disconnects, and the the light itself also has built in fans. The fans, halides, and PC's all have their own power switch, so they can all be on their own time schedules.

48" Catalina Ultra Reef 2x175 Mh Fixture

I had this over my 120 (shown), and as of this weekend, have now upgraded to a 2x250 watt retro system for more light, but primarily so I could get the canopy back on my tank. The light will come with (2) sets of legs (shown). I was experimenting with the height of the light over the water...

Need Some 250 Watt Mh Bulb/ballast Recommendations

I currently have a 120 gallon reef / fish tank with (2) 175 watt MH Iwasaki 15k's SE MH's (great bulbs) and (2) 55 watt PC's Catalina light fixture. It does a great job, but I think a 2 x 250 watt fixture would be better due to the depth of the tank. I received the good news from Catalina today...

    my reef in progress

Great looking tank so far. The piece of rock all the way on the right is sweet! The flatter shelf-like surfaces will make it easy to find places to station your corals, or at least the ones that will need to be closer to the lighting. This just my opinion of course, but I think a few nice...

    Removal Of Tank Cross Brace

Here is a pic of a similar tank. Mine is the same, but reef ready. The cross brace is part of the frame that goes around the top of the tank.

    Removal Of Tank Cross Brace

Emptying the tank is not an option. That's why I'm asking for other's experiences. I had already considered the stress of the tank being full, which is why I mentioned the new braces would be installed be for the old one would be removed.

    Removal Of Tank Cross Brace

Has anyone else had any experience doing this? I have a 120 gallon All Glass which is . There is a very wide cross brace in the middle of the tank, which effects the lighting of the tank in a big way. I realize the cross brace is needed, or it wouldn't be there. I want to replace this wide, non...

    Blastomussa?

Low lighting with low to medium flow. Most people find a place for them on the sandbed. Use the "SEARCH" feature provided above. Search with "blastomussa" and click "titles only". You should find many informative threads containing more detailed info.

    Hydor flow deflectors ??

I doubt it. The whole thing is only $15. You'd be better off just getting a new one.

    Hydor flow deflectors ??

All you have to do is pick one of the 4 supplied adapters that will go in between the Hydor and the powerhead.

    Hydor flow deflectors ??

I have 5 total in two tanks. I like them a lot. No problems if maintained regularly, like anything else.
