    Injured anemone?

Last night my long tentacle anemone was roaming my tank as he does regularly, this morning I noticed he settled down and had some debris on 1 specific part of his body. Now when I look at him it seems the area looks somewhat swolen and the debris is still there. Could he have possibly cut...

    Sea Fans?

Unfortunately my lfs is the only one within a 55 mile hike, but they have been in business for over 74 years so I can give them that much, and the owner did stop me from buying a colored sea slug, and a red lobo coral I wanted due to my trigger. The sea fan was a little beat up piece and worth...

    Sea Fans?

I just bought a purple sea fan for my tank and was wondering what it eats?...Is there anything special I should add or will it just pull elements from the water?...I stupidly forgot to ask my lfs when we got it so being it is a new addition I thought I'd ask for any suggestions. Dan

    Clown Trigger & Emperor Angel

    Clown Trigger & Emperor Angel

Ok well here's the deal. I put the trigger and the shrimp both in at the same time, and the shrimp are actually double the size of the trigger. I know that some time down the road there is the chance that my trigger is going to look at the shrimp and think "mmmmm...lunch and dinner!" but I have...

    Protien skimmers??

I kinda have the same questions Deftone, i come here and read all these great things about skimmers and yet my lfs says it isn't a needed item. In the future when I go with a larger tank I will get one but for the past 7 months I haven't had 1 (thinkin this is why some of my livestock died off...

more hair alage since using rodi unit

Niko, I just started getting some green algea 2 days ago and went nuts trying to figure out why. I ran to my lfs to have them do a water test for me and my ammonia was way out there. The owner said that could be the cause of this. Apparently my tank started to re-cycle itself. Anyway just for...

    Clown compatability

I have a tomato clown in my tank now along with a clown trigger and a tang. The tomato was here before the others buy even so they get along fine. I am assuming from what I have read and learned so far (also my experience with them) if you introduce them 1 by 1 the newer species has to be a tad...

    Clown Trigger & Emperor Angel

I have a tang in my tank so the cleaner shrimp are there as my clean up crew, as for adding it with the trigger...they work fine together. They don't get bothered by the trigger at all, he's too busy pokin about the lr to care about them.
