    porcupine puffer

you could also go to walmart or your lfs and buy the krill in the bottles there. its not as good as frozen food but to get him started this will probably work. i also feed this from time to time. never seen a puffer turn it down.

    sand bed question

in order to have a dsb you should have around 4 inches or more depth. if you dont and you only have a fish only system there arent really any problems. you may have to siphon clean from time to time. but you dont get the benifits of a dsb.

    sand depth

crushed coral usually leads raised nitrates and more of a hassel to clean. usually with a dsb you dont have to clean. a good clean up crew and your developed dsb should do great. the dsb also helps filter your system.

    puffer and cleaner shrimp?

i had a cleaner in my aggressive setup a year ago. he did great. him and my snowflake actually stayed in the same cave. i had a porcupine puffer, violation lion, koran angel, and a foxface. the cleaner did great until i got a grouper. then he was just a snack. how big is your puffer?
