    Watage/gallon ratio

Watts per gallon can't really be relied upon because of factors like tank depth, width and lots of other stuff. A better way is to figure out what corals you want and then ask people wo have had long term success with those corals what type of lighting they have.

    Interactive Tank Building

The tank looks good. I do agree that the plants look awkword but this is just because the majority of tanks on this board don't have them. You have plenty of rock for biological filtration so any more would be purely for looks. I would take off the HOB filters. They are nice for running...

    VHO Rumor

10K's have quite abit of the Actinic spectrum in them already so you would not need as much actinic supplimentation. Actinics do make the tank look nicer than straight 10K's

    Low Salt & Water change?

You could just top off with salt water for a while until it brings it up to about 1.022 or so and then top off with fresh water.

A Rhetorical Question with Some Relevance

It's the whole watts per gallon thing in another light. After you subtract the glass and the fact that most tanks are not filled to the brim then it all comes down to what looks good for you. It really does not take that much rock to perform adequate biological filtration and if you have any...

    VHO Fixture. Super Cheap!!!

Why don't you replace the 50/50 bulb with a 10K daylight. it would look very crisp and would not have the purple tint.

100 gal tank for sale in Thousand Oaks CA

Most people don't factor in all of the livestock and filters so I think that you will be hard pressed to even get $1,000.00 for a 100 gal aquarium even if it is worth alot more. I hope you sell it but you might want to do a search on even 125 gallon setups and see the prices and responses for them.

    Bio-wheel = Nitrate problem~?~?

Bioballs convert Ammonia-> nitrite-> to nitrate and have no way of converting nitrate to Nitrogen ( somebody tell me if it is not nitrogen ). Until you get a biological filter that will convert nitrate to nitrogen then you are going to have nitrates no matter what biological filtration you...

    VHO Rumor

I had PC's and then went VHO's. After having to change the VHO bulbs after 9 months I went with PC's for my 10K bulbs and kept my VHO's for actinics. The PC bulbs are supposed to last longer. According to the online dealer who I bought both VHO and PC's from the PC's should last about twice...

Those products are really a waste of money and time. A small piece of cured rock will do the same thing. Even a lb or less will help speed up a cycle.
