    Heebie Jeebies....

it has more then 4 legs and eyes....kill it, then squash it, smear it, then throw it outside in the trash can (you never can really tell when they are completely dead)... I really dislike spiders...almost as much as ex-spouses....

    Fish tanks

Glass tanks are generally too expensive to ship..and working in the segment of the transportation industry which would handle the tank...not recommended at all. One of the larger furniture moving companies (maybe al..I dont know) does this type of shipping as well...far more delicate handling...

    SWF Live Sand

I purchased and received 25 pounds of LS from here...got the sand..rinsed it well in saltwater...put it in tanks, refuges etc...now the tanks are cycling. This isn;t a good thing... Reckon this will be a short cycle?

    freshwater

I have always heard of and used a generalized 1 inch per gallon rule for FW fish. And this dates back many years... As the tank matures one gets a feel as to what their bio-load limitations are. I kept Angels and Tetras of varying types. My Angels openly bred and the Tetras ate well.. :)

    water changes

Smaller, more frequent changes are less likely to interfere with your balanced system. It is a debatable issue. Some do big less often, but I feel this could adversly affect some elements of your bio-system. Smaller like 5-10% weekly, or 10-15% every other week.

    Protein Skimmer for seahorses

No... It is a square with a handle to hang over the edge of tank...it is to hold a fish or two...they have two sizes...I currectly have two of the small size performing as a continuous siphon overflow...they are Lee's brand so go to a site which sells them and you can get the sizes there.

    Horrible weekend!!!! :(

Seam leaks are strange... My 45 sprung one at about 3 months into it...replaced the tank...2.5 years later...no problem and it has been moved three times. I was lucky though..I discovered the leak when it had only lost about 1/3 of water...was dripping on my jointer in the basement...like a...

    Beginner needs answer now

You need... An overflow from the tank to the wet/dry...then a return from the wet/dry to the tank. The overflow is either a drilled tank or a hang on the back type. Hanging on the back is a continuous siphon overflow which will maintain the siphone even when the water level falls. It is...

    rant rant rant!

Krish39 and others... My point isn't whether or not to shop at *****...it is simply...if you are going to bash that place or any store...then you will do one of two things...either support the store...or not support the store... For others... It is irrelevent if you go to ***** and only buy your...

    Protein Skimmer for seahorses

Something as an idea...you could get a Lee's Specimen container...cut some like 1/8 slits around the top of it...have the protein skimmer drain into it...may be enough room for the water to clear the bubbles prior to draining into the tank... Something along these lines...a dwell time for the...
