    time to move on

Well after 4 years of this hobby I have sold everything in my 10 gal nano. I have enjoyed it all but have lost a bit of interest and everything here just costs so much and with a 10 gal you are very limited as to the kinds of fish you can have. Upgrading was not an option due to cost. My heart...

If so can you tell me if one would be able to keep some green button polyps, green star polyps, small mushrooms along with a shrimp, crabs, snails. NO FISH I would like to know if the light pc 7w it comes with is strong enough for those few...

    crab question

Well it seems the battle is on. The big one was in a molt and I seen him inside his shell last night but the two of them are in a dead shell lock and bound and determined to get each other. Crazy crabs anyways I guess other shells are not good enough.

    crab question

Well the little guy won the fight. Dam I just don't understand why in the blazes they have to fight for each others shells when there is lots of other shells in the tank for them to take. Oh well that is why I don't usually have crabs in my tank or I usually only have one. Now that little beast...

    crab question

I have two blue leg hermit crabs. One is quite a bit larger than the other. I have noticed that quite often they seem to be attacking each other. Are they try to kill one another or is this a mating thing??

    Never go on vacation!

So sorry to hear about your tank and fish. I am soooo lucky with my two boys even though they could not care a less about the fish tanks, but they know what will happen if mom comes home and disaster has struck. They always phone us to if there are any doubts. But back to your situation. When I...

    Chromis??? Which ones.

I have never seen the blue reef chromis here but they do look pretty. I love the green chromis and when they swim around you get green, blue shimmers from them. I guess it depends on what you really want to look at.

    Brains

Hi, I can only speak for myself. I have an open red brain coral in my 10 gal with PC lights, but like mentioned it is a smaller tank and is doing just great. It is placed in the sand at the front. I did read that the red ones don't need as strong of light as the green but I am not sure about that.

    Help with Tank Mate

You should wait till you have algae for it to eat. I tried on once, after it cleaned up my whole tank there was nothing left for it to eat so I tried the algae sheets but it still would not eat them so i had to trade him in. Another very bold fish that i have had 3 of is the bicolor blenny. They...

    Help with Tank Mate

I think chromis are quite pretty check on the forums though and see if 5 would be a good number to start with. Do some research first before you get them to make sure this is a good idea. I really like them but maybe some don't.

    Help with Tank Mate

Do you like chromis at all?? There are many kinds that you can keep like royal gramma very pretty fish, blennies, gobies etc but they require places to hide. If you don't want any fish like that then you have to look at upper swimming fish for the tank and that is why i suggested chromis...

    Help with Tank Mate

I am no clownfish expert. The percs are always nice as you can get two of them, quite entertaining. My favorite although the most aggressive the Maroon Clownfish, I love the goldstriped ones. I think you have to make sure that you get a true pair if you get two of these ones. The skunk clowns...

    Help with Tank Mate

What about some green chromis, a school of them would be nice as they don't require hiding places. Cardinals are another too, any of your gobies or blennies like rocks so don't know if that would work. But you do have alot of live rock so maybe one of those would work too. Wrasses are also very...

    My 40gal Fragg Tank

Looks very nice indeed..... May I just post one concern?? As suggested your one front board is cracked, if you look at the tank it is definatley showing a stress point in the middle of that area. Instead of taking the whole tank apart to fix this can you "carefully" without cracking the tank put...
