    FISH TRAP

Finally I finished the fish trap. The design is based on a drawing from Slice, thank you Joe. I am trying to catch a black and gold chromis out of my 40 so I can then catch my breeding pair of Banggai Cardinals. Going to leave it in the tank for a few days then try to catch him.

    New Algae Scrubber

Did some changes today and also realized that my pump is too small. I am going to order a larger one soon, this one is going to have to due for now. I wasn't happy with the lights getting as hot as they were, if you looked at the picture of the 3 bulb holder the electrical box was acrylic, so...

    Cleaning Used Tank and supplies

I use bleach as well I even used with some questionable live rock to kill everything. Another way to clean a tank is to put it upside down with one of those oscillating (spelling) sprinklers.

Power Strip - holding them in place

Well I always like to have everything out of the way in terms of electrical wires, you know how hard it can be to get a power strip behind a sump or fuge. So I bought some velcro strips at Michael's - so you just stick to the wall and put a piece on the back of the power strip and vwala. Just...

    New Algae Scrubber

Well I had a short piece of pipe to get the water level up to the screen it wasn't high enough, so I added a bit more and a 90 elbow - the noise is almost gone. I had to shut it down I had a small leak out of the pump I didn't have a barbed hose fitting so I tried a small piece of pipe to seal...

I think you will find a lot of people here that had a LMB - including myself - where it was doing fine then after a few months or a year they start to get skinny and unfortunately pass away. Try some algae sheets mine did eat mysis but it didn't help - good luck]
