    Green Chromis vs Anthias

Since nothing is definate we don't give definate answers. If we said sure that will work and it doesn't, we've done you a disservice. I will say that in that size tank 1 male and 2-4 female Lyertails, 85% probabilty it will be fine.

message to those who flame others

Sometimes people get angry when an innocent creature dies because of someones lack of effort to learn anything about that creatures basic needs. If you saw on a cat discussion board "my 3'rd kitten died today, should I get a bigger shoebox?" you'd call the police. Maybe "shame on you for not...

    Need Opinions...Royal Grammas mean?

RGs are territorial but their territory is only a few inches surrounding their favorite spot. Theres a huge difference between putting several RGs in a bare tank with other fish and how you would actually keep them. How a fish is kept in wholesalers holding tanks is irrelevent to the home...

    Green Chromis vs Anthias

Are you suggesting that a group of females will fight to determine which one will turn male? Of all the studies I've read this is never mentioned. In fact no specigfic characteristics of which fish will turn, such as dominance, aggressivenes, relative size, or even vividness of coloration were...

    Reef Tank Question

Nobody really uses canister filters anymore. The DSB (deep sand bed) and live rock with algae in a sump or refugium with or without a protein skimmer is whats considered best at the moment. Dont get rid of the canisters though, you can use them as pumps or just for circulation if anything.

150 reef tank 16 months old

I like the shelf style stacking. Looks a lot more interesting than the usual "pile o' LR". Should be a much nicer place for fish too.

    Green Chromis vs Anthias

I like to get all small females and let nature pick the male. I think it works better that way. I have no idea why I think that, but I do. :notsure:

Do I have a Hawaiin themed tank?

Heres a small list of Hawaiin state laws you will need to break to have that tank. If you live in the US but not Hawaii, add a 1 felony for export out of Hawaii, and 1 felony for import into continental US per item. Taking or damaging coral, live rocks and coral rubble State law prohibits the...

    Green Chromis vs Anthias

Anthias are just a little pickier about stable water conditions than Chromis, considering your tank size they shouldn't be that hard to care for. I had some and they did great. I did feed mine 3 times a day; before I went to work, when I got home, and an hour or so before lights out.

What is your one best advice!

Going along with PonieGirl's answer, sites that sell fish generally list the size the fish is at that price, not how big he will get, and the minimum tank size is what he needs at that size, not his future requirements.

    is this due able?

Thats a very vague and general kind of answer, however this is one case where it sort of applies. Although Vermiculated Angels are Pomas, they are a smaller variety and generally get along with both larger more brightly colored angels as well as Centropyge angels like Coral Beauties. You didn't...
