I am running some water tests now....Everything looks goood so far except the SG is around 1.027~1.028. Nitrate, Nitrite,Ammonia are all 0. My PH is around 7.8-7.9 That may be a little low too

This is what he looked like about 10 days ago. When I bought him about 2 weeks ago he was pretty big a white with little pink tips on his tentacles. I figure that maybe I fed him a little too much and that this was a result of that. Consequently, he is not getting fed until at least next Friday

When I first got him he was white with a pinkish/brown base. Over the past 2 weeks I have fed it 3 pieces of krills. I was talking to the guy at my LFS and showed him these pics and he said it was normal and that some BTA do this when they expell their food... Just trying to get a 2nd opinion

I check the water last Sunday...Ammonia, Nitrate and Nitrite were all 0...PH was 8.2 and the water temp is around 78. The tank is fully cycled. The BTA has been in there for over 2 weeks now and the Condi was just put in there last night. I just checked again, and he is back to his normal...

Wild, I just went over ot the tank to take his pic again, and the tentacles are out and about again. Here he is now. He was inside himself for about 2-3 hrs I would guess... Check him out now... Also, I will attach a better pic of my BTA

Thomas, What about Actinic? Can you suggest a VHO unit for a 55 gal? How many watts for a 55 would I want?

My lighting is not what I need (You replied to my other post). I only have normal flourescent lighting. I need to go buy some better lighting. It is a bubble tip for sure. The picture was a night shot (I just took it)...I just fed him some krill last night, so is he maybe just expelling?
