My Starry blenny laid eggs. The larger of the two guards them day and night. You can see them started to move. Does anyone know if I will be able to save any of the babies. Any hints on what I should do would be helpful.
Has been running almost two months. 110 gal. Only live rock and sand . Amonia was up really high for more than a week dropped all of a sudden had detectable nitrites for about a day now amonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates 50. Just wanted to know if you thought it was finished cycling or will the...
My amonia level spiked at around 8.0 for almost a week, when it started to drop I started testing my Nitrites the highest I seen was 3.0 and the next day it was at zero. Has my tank finished cycling or could the Nitrites still spike?
The starfish has spikes between his legs and chocolate stars do not.(At least none I have seen) His belly is orange and black marble. And his little suckers are light orange. The same lfs (different location) have little green with orange spikes and they call them Bali stars but i couldn't find...
LFS has a black starfish with orange spikes, kinda like a chocolate chip star. They are calling it a orange spot star and I was trying to research but I can't find anything like them on internet. At a different location they have a green one with orange spots and call it a Bali Star but I can't...
Please help. I have a 24 gal aqua pod. After cleaning the sponges in my tank I developed a green cloud at the bottom of my tank. After a week or so of trying to leave the lights out and doing small water changes (thought it was an algea bloom) I moved the fish into my 110 gallon tank. I...
It hasn't fallen below the 1.020 mark but I have more invertbray than fish so I want it at the higher end of the scale. I measure it with an Instant Ocean Hydrometer. I don't think it gives me consistant readings for the water (checked water more than once slightly different reading) Only kind...
My salt level keeps going down. I added a new live rock could this have done it? Over the weekend I noticed my brittle star lost the tips of its legs and I remembered reading that if your salt was too low this could happen and I checked it(low) I removed 1/4 of my water raised the salt level and...
The people at the pet store told me I had to have fish in the tank because it couldn't cycle without their waste, I do have live rock and live sand. I am new at this so I am a little confused, how does water cycle?
I have a new tank that has been set up with fish for about two weeks. (26 galloon aqua pod) I test the water every day and I still do not have any amonia or nitrates. Isn't this alittle weird? I have even added cycle. Doesn't it have to go through the three stages to get benifical bateria?
