So it sounds like they do needs to be in shallow water with a lot of food available. The temp could be an issue as well. In either case, I won't be adding them to my tank. Bummer to hear though.

it could be discoloration from stress. i don't know if the fox does this for sure but a lot of fish do. i believe they have scales though. has there been any problem with your water parameters?

okay so not more than one per tank.....got it. i will only keep a dogface then. maybe i will put some large snails in there first and hope they get big enough that they are not appetizing looking.....or is that like saying a big juicy steak doesn't look good to me??

okay so the key would be to keep them well fed then. i guess i won't worry until they start getting picked off and i won't keep anything really expensive...lol. one other question then, can you keep two puffers together? i had the porky in mind and the dogface.

yeah the koran are absolutely amazing. that bellus is pretty too. so you think that i could put a coral beauty with a koran if i add the koran later? i definitely do not want to overload my tank. i probably wouldn't do too many others together. i have been thinking about some smaller colorful...

so a bunch of large hermit crabs? anything else? i may try a cc starfish and make sure that he is in there a while before i add the puffer. which one is going do the best with those? i like the dogface, golden and the striped.

sorry for not clarifying. i know what the coral beauty looks like but what does that bellus look like? they don't have one of those here on this site. another angels i like are the flame, flameback and koran angels. i am not extremely interested in any others that i have seen so far.

I am going to have a dogface and a tusk in my 150 gal. is there anything that i can put into the tank that will clean up the bottom that they won't eat?? i know they go after crustaceans mostly so what other things don't they eat that are good for doing some tank maintenance?
