I just ordered a 48" hood that comes with GE's 9325 fresh & saltwater compacts. I have heard that these lights have a "pinkish" tint to them. I was told that these would be fine for FOWLR. Any ideas????

I have a 55 gallon that will be FOWLR. It came with a 30-60 power filter. Will this work or should I get a protein skimmer? Has anyone used a Prizm Skimmer?

Would there be any advantages/disadvantages with more watts?

I am in the process of buying the right equipment for my 55 gal. tank that will be FOWLR. From what I gather, 220w is enough lighting for this setup. Would 440w be too much for this setup? Can there be too much light??
