clams use light as their first source of food, second is filter feeding. for clams to do well they need very strong lighting

update: it's been about a month now and the new tank is doing great:D from the switchover we managed to not loose a single thing. all the fish are doing great, corals are loving the new lights and growing like crazy already. here is an updated full tank shot

things are going a lot better today. the pbt is leaving the anthia's alone for the most part. they have been hidinig by the overflow a lot, but they are starting to look more comfortable and venture out into the open. both anthia's even ate very well today:cheer:

i just now added 2 female lyretail anthia's to my tank and about 5 min later my powder blue started chasing them aggressivly. is this normal behavior for a pbt? i hope he eases up on them:eek:

i have had a rbta for a couple weeks now and mine is the same way. mainly during the day it's tenticles are long and at night it bubbles up

i just ran spybot, it came up with 17 files!!! got all those removed, hopefully that works

they are a natural part of any saltwater tank with live rock or live sand. there are some fish that eat them. i think they eat waste in your tank
