like a name? acans have too many color variations to have a name. unless you started getting acans 3 years ago, the names really dont have value. there are some sick acans that have names though

im almost positive it is a bicolor now. they color up as they age

for amino, i use either korallen zucht or elos

i temp acclimate then put them in my styrofoam box with their water and half of my water. then i put in revive and turkey baste after 12 minutes

i think its a juvenile bicolor. the eyes look like a bicolor but ive never seen that line in the middle. the spot on the fin also indicates a bicolor

thanks, people eater zoas (green mouth with watermelon mats) color up really well overtime. awesome zoas! theres palythoa like button polyps that grow in singles buds. but protopalys grow mats like zoas

heres a comparison of some zoas and palys. the only protopaly here is the top right. the others are all zoanthids despite the size.

they are not protopalythoa. since they have green mouths, they are the people eater type of zoas. they belong to zoanthus gigantus

Rods Coral food. as for the pellets, i use fauna marin lps pellets

LPS, i feed pellets. SPS i let them eat fish poo and once in awhile rods coral food

i personally would not do fixtures for mh. if you have a way to mount them, i would do lumenmax elite mh reflectors with the appropriate ballast for the bulbs you want to run. better components, better output. if you want actinics, i would do 2 strips of 48" reefbrite strips to go along with...

these are using 2w bulbs, so better than the 1w bulbs and the uv effect is nice. but CREE is proven in the hobby so i stick with the 3w leds when it comes to PAR bulbds. you can use this to just add more coverage to your tank, i think itd do quite well

fuel is just another supplement imo.wouldnt use it as food for coral

def not a birdsnest (seriatopora sp.). its def an acro (acropora sp.) but cant identify which one exactly unless i had a closer pic of the corallite
