I'm 6'. 240 is considered obese. Considering I was 155 in high school, I have gained a lot of weight. I don't want to get that bad knee by jogging while I am still 240 pounds. I will walk, however, I just have to find the time. I would like to be at 175-180 again and put on a little muscle too...

I find it pretty hard to find anything I like in Dwarfs aside from Coral Beauties. The Singapore has a mask resembling the Emperor, which I really like. I've never seen that fish before. And score, Sweatervest! It only needs 120 gallons! :t^:  I keep threatening my husband I'm going to drylock...

Keep  your  head up Dude!! I know what you mean about always eating what is on you plate even though you may be full.  I was raised to be a member of the clean plate club. Heck my mom even to this day makes me finish my plate (when she visits).  And who does not eat because they are bored...

I agree you are way overstocked for a 30g as it is. you should get rid of the tang and the blenny IMO. the tang just doesn't have the swimming room it needs in a 30g. adding more fish at this point could easily tip you over the edge and cause a crash or massive die off.   +1

Do you have any powerheads?   ANy clean up crew?       How old is the tank? Looks like diatoms....normal for a new tank, BUT you need the above items Yes, diatoms. Problem is the tank is probably not suited for a fish and probably not cycles yet.

You will find in this hobby there are a lot of different opinions....and people do things differently Personally.......I would get new sand (dead).....and seed it with the sand from my other tank...... +1

I don't think they are good. They eat bristleworms, other snails, and other stuff.

Nothing eats diatoms. You can either siphon them or they will go away eventually. I recommend snails over hermit crabs. Keep posting parameters here and we will tell you when to get your clean up crew.
