How do like the salt water mollies; do they breed a lot in salt water?

Outside of coloration I don't think there's that much difference; mine stays under the rocks most of the time but becomes very active at feeding time; gets a lot of oohs and aahs when friends are over.:)

I believe this was sold to me as a blue serpent star 3 years ago; it's now a good 10 to 12 inches across.

yes thats just one of rocks they're on . They seem to be spreading everywhere

Any Advice? My rocks are 6 years old; I have neglected my tank for a few months; (but now I have the fever again). I'll be upgrading the lights etc. Anyway, these dusters were cute at first but now they have become a pest any suggestions on what they are and how I can control them? TIA

Great story; Same thing happened to my firefish. I did'nt see him for weeks (thot he was starfish food). Cleaning my sump a few weeks later I found him skinny as a rail in the sump; hehad jumped in the overflow down the drain, through a valve and was living on what little food went to the sump...

How did your fan work without power? How cold could it get in the middle of summer?:notsure:

I think your tank is big enough; my maroon is very agressive but doesn't bother the firefish who stays on the other side of the tank

poor man's sump. I use the trashcan to control current and provide a holding place for a bag of carbon if needed. I use the pvc ball valve to control flow if necessary.

No AC? Ouch airflow will evaporate the water and cool it; some people use fans blowing over their sumps or tank. with no ac you probably need a chiller.

Your tank might be too small. My watchman would hide under the rock most of the time but when he came out he was incredible. Yellow head with blue neon markings; he looked like an alien. Always ate formula 1 w no problems

Stick with hardy cheap fish at first. One of the first fish I bought was a coral beauty angel and a mandarin; for a new tank with a bunch of fake coral. Needless to say they did'nt last long. :nope:

My maroon is a horse; He eats out of my hand, I take a pinch of flake and hold just under the surface he and my tang both start pecking at it.

My blennie never jumped. They do like to have little hiding places in the rocks. If the pellets sink to the bottom he might have trouble eating ;I never tried pellets with my blennie.

My blennie was not a picky eater; formula 1, 2 ;brine shrimp; and flakes he would eat the brown algae off the glass. I would not recommend adding another clown . my maroon is a bully Watchman gobies are cool fish too.
