I had two bio wheels running. My nitrate levels where around 25 ppm and I was told to remove the wheels to help lower. After removing them my nitrates stay around 5 ppm.

My biowheel was a nitrate factory. When i removed it, my trates when down.

ive never seen one around here at the lfs. I would probably have to order and thats goin to be a little too pricey for me. One lfs had some huge blonde naso for around 100. THey were probably close to 8-10 in

Just throwing out the idea...Would a naso tang hold its own with a clown trigger?

I think you dont want to use the kitchen/bath/plumbing kind. That has the mold inhibitors in it. Get the window/door. Its GE 1 that you want.

Just wanted to share some pics of the tank i just restored, thanks for looking.

I think its finally done, with the exception of tryin to get the light fixture to mount right over the tank. Right now ive got it stagered over it.

I have a diy restore on here. Its almost the same situation i was in, went from a 55 to a 165. Ive bought most of my stuff from a local reefer club and craigslist. You can save alot, but you have to be careful not to buy crap thats not worth it.

So i got it filled yesterday. Im still waiting on the salt and sand cloudiness to go away and i also ordered a new heater so hopefull everything will be done by next week. Ive still got to get some glass tops made so my lights will have somewhere to sit on top. I threw my t-5's that are going on...
