The more I think about it, the more I think it came in on the live rock, it was already cured, and I went back to the place I got it, and there were fish in with the LR and it looked like they had ich. Lesson learned, and the fish did not make it, he died during the night.

they have been injecting dye into fish since the 80's. I used to wook at a LFS in Clarks Summit, PA (Fresh water only) and we sold them all the time. I was/am against it as the fish die sooner, it is not good for them

If you move to Tampa, let me know I can let you in on the best and cheapest LFS, and gettting tanks here is dirt cheap, if you ever want to get more.

I keep the heater setting at 72o but the tank has been staying about 76o. In a few weeks the AC will be on. I also hope to get a chiller this summer.

Get a 12" or so PVC pipe and a cap, put a shrimp in it and wait for him to go in after it, then carefully remove it from your tank.

Those things on the last pic are barnacles, those and the clams will not make is, as they are filter feeders. You could get some plankton at a LFS are try to feed them, but it is a long shot. Plenty of other things will live. Nice LR BTW. Now just take your time a couple of weeks before you add...

The Ro will kill the good stuff on the rock such as copepods and other benificial stuff, just put it in the tank.

Attachment 240337 Not really on display, but it looks good. There are a few hermets in it, as I find them I tak them out. I am going at add 2 - 3 turbo snails to it when it starts to gor some algae, but for the most part it is there for the macro algae and copepods
