    Help with ballast problem

Some manufacturers center tap the secondary of the ballast to run two bulbs and some run the bulbs in series so one ballast can light two bulbs, but SCSInet is correct, open that puppy up and tell us what you see. And of course, anytime you work on electricity unplug that light.

    Help with ballast problem

SCSInet is correct, sounds like you have a ballast problem but I want you to check one more thing. Unplug the cord first, and check the wiring to the light sockets to make sure they are making a good connection. A loose or burnt wire at the socket could give you the same problem. This is a long...

    feather duster keeps retracting

I've had everything from starfish, scooter blennies,to crabs and snails climb over mine with no problems. Sounds like yours take a long time to attach. I hope we are talking about feather dusters, not coco worms,I haven't any experience with the coco's.

You might be suprised at the out come! Lights,

The highest kelvin rating I could find is 6700k with a wattage of 100. Seems to me I would have to agree with pbnj. I don't see how they would be powerful enough to penetrate the depth of the aquarium. IMO

Looking to set up a wall tank in this spot, thoughts?

And not to disagree with anyone, a load bearing wall IS a big deal if you don't know what you are doing, but since this is being contracted out it is nothing to worry about if done by...
