    Water goes from the U tube, to the sump. The intake is the end of your U tube in your sump. If it is too close to your return pump, the water swirls will pull air and it will bubble up your intake hose to the U Tube in your tank.

    1) Check the bottom of the return hose and make sure it's not located anywhere near the intake of your pump. 2) Make sure the u tube is not cracked. 3) Don't top off into the overflow. It causes bubbles. Maybe top off into your sump. :-)
