A Brita filter ok for the fish tank? It would seem to take out all of the harmful elements...... Am I correct?

Don't take from reefs.... it is so mean to the fish. I like the aquacultured fish as they don't know how much nicer real reefs are than tanks (Which they are). Don't get me wrong, some tanks are amazing, but no tank can compare to the real thing. Please buy your fish from the store.

Brita is very quick.... it takes 5 minutes for a gallon. It would be quite easy w/water changes for smaller tanks.

This is what happens when you feed your algae steroids folks.... :scared: Get shrimp and the like. I have heard that they LOVE algae.

I have seen all the work it takes to maintain a fish tank... so I have revised what I think I MAY get. I have plans for a 20 Gallon tank now..... For corals, the mushrooms looked very good, and the zoos were also nice. I especially like Xenia :happyfish I like the anemones as well.... The pink...

Any suggestions for corals? Some of the mushroom corals seemed very nice..... I also have heard that some require a very high wattage lightbulb, so I would like to stay clear of those.

Another thing... is it possible to use filtered tap water?

Do you guys have any suggestions for the fish I should get? I like bright colors, and some of the clown fish and tangs looked good.

Hi guys, This is my first post here. Hello everyone! :yes: Now on to my question. I will be buying a 40 gallon tank very shortly... Dimensions are 36"x15"x16", and plan on setting up a reef aquarium. What equipment do I need for this (Filtering... etc) Do you have any suggestions for fish...
