    which do you recommend?...

If you decide on HOB, I'd say buy an Aqua C Remora. No other skimmer can outperform it for tanks 75 gal and under.

PH fell from 8.2 to 7.8 in 2 days...?

Are you using tap or RO water?

    LS turning brown

Cucumbers are good at cleaning. However, they can be toxic or venomous to the tank if they should croak. It'll probably be a safer bet to get a couple of fighting conch and some cerith snails.

    Aqua C Remora

Give it time. The Remora just needs time to break in.

    new fourty five

For a skimmer, I would suggest an Aqua C Remora, the best HOB skimmer you can buy for your tank size. It's worth every penny :)

    LS turning brown

Looks like you have algae growth starting on your sand. What kind of snails do you have? Nassarius, BumbleBee and Cerith Snails would be great for attacking the algae problem. Also, a Fighting Conch would be good too.

    CuddleFish Anyone?

Are you sure you want a big tank with nothing but a squid in there? They're are very aggressive and will clean your tank of inverts. It'll get very expensive when feeding it. BTW, dried cuttlefish is quite tasty :)

    Please ID this for me.

Fish and inverts will eat them. In particular, Mandarin Dragonets will dine almost exclusively on them.

Pods are a very good thing. Ultimately, they are food for other critters.

    any inverts

As long as the Snowflake is fed regularly, I don't the see the problem with any inverts. I'd worry more about smaller fishes....

    jawfish n' shrimp

Any shrimp other than a Coral Banded will do. I'm not sure if any shrimp will have a symbiotic relationship with a Jawfish, I've really never heard of it. Then again, others may have seen this behavior.

Probably an Asterina Starfish. They're small little hitchhikers and are totally harmless. They should have 6 legs.

    Chocolate Chip Star Feeding?

My CC comes to the water line and folds back one of his arms. He likes to be hand fed Mysid Shrimp and Blood Worms. Also, I give him the occasional shrimp pellet and algae wafer.
