Its not going to matter that much where the pumps are as long as you have good flow through the sump... BTW, very good skimmer choice. How about a picture of that bad boy in action?

If your PH was real low then I'd say your adding too much co2, but then if you were adding too much co2 the media in the reactor would probably be mud. How oldnew is the tank?

Chris, Drill for a 1.5" bulkhead some where on the top of the sides or back of the fuge, run a line from the bulkhead to the sump and use something like a MJ1200 (depending on how much flow you want) from the sump to feed the fuge..Pretty simple stuff. Might want to use a small 1/2" or 3/4"...

Try looing for #28 fish hooks at your local fly fishing store ( I think 28 is the smallest) while your there get a spool of 1 pound tippet and a few BB size split shots..bait the hook with a small peice of frozen shrimp and go fishing..Its worked for me in the past but you have to keep it away...
