i think if you are considering an HOB skimmer... a remora would be the best option. :)

wow that tank was a steal. especially for $100!!! Just the remora is worth more than that.

i have a ton in my tank too... they grow in their own and havent seem the do any harm on my inhabitants!

As stated in the previous post, the most important part of the transfer is my HOB filter. There is something that i've yet to figure out. Will i actually have to run the filter on the new tank or would i dump the stuff from inside the filter onto my bioballs.

i think we all do. everything i discover reproducing corals, its like the best feeling in the world! lol

should a regulating ball valve go on the return side of the system?

i have a tank with the built in overflow (drilled tank) its set up with durso standpipe. SO what you are saying is that I need to have the ballvalve set up on return side of it? what happens if i dont?

It is necessary to have a ball valve installed on my intake for the wet/dry?? Or when the pump stops running will the water drain and just stop draining? BTW, not new to the hobby, just new to the whole overflow thing.
