    I guess i am going to just take everything out and clean it all really good. I also have some limestone base rock that I think may not be helping me out any, it's gone... I will then take out alot of the sand, but leave enough for the look etc. sound ok?

    I have been having major algae problems for a long time and everything i do nothing will help. The last thing I can think of is to get this nasty old, stinky sand out. If I move it or anything it's like a dark cloud. Would it help alot or would it be worth it? Please someone say something...

    yeah I tested it as if it was going to be working in the tank. i just pumped water in with the co2 regulator closed like you said, and hooked it all up. it's all working good and my ph is about 8.2 during the day and 7.9 at night, is that pretty good? anyways it's holdin water and working...

    Thanks kip, thought my regulator might not work or something. I got the milwaukee with the regulator and that is what i'll do.

    Thanks schneidts. I would say about 325 total with reg, tank, pump, and everything. It should be well worth it in the long run. It holds about 12-14lbs btw. Does the solenoid have to be plugged in?
