so i have heard that you can take the sponges and bio-balls and everything else back there and replace it with lr.. for filtration.. the reason why is because i have a problem with high nitrates and i think the sponges and are holding in alot of nitrates.. i have been using the sponges and...

i have heard the same thing.. actually to got rid of the bio balls the sponges and replace it with lr.. well wouldnt the lr in the back chamber need light??? not sure if it is true so if someone has the right answer it would help..

i had the same thing happen to me... at first i thought it was my emerald crab. but then it died and it still happen.. look for little sun dail snails...that can be your problem. how long have you had them for. i have heard that they are hard to keep and i've had mine for about a year now so...

so i went shopping today and i asked at every fish store i went to and they said that you probably can do a higher wattages but it is not recommended because the ballast can take lower wattage but not higher... so i played it safe and just got the 32 watt.. thanks for playing yall :hilarious
