    Its been awhile...

iceburger, Nice to see a blast from the past pop up here! And glad to hear the work is going well for you. I don't drop by much anymore either, but it's always cool to bump into folks who were around when I first started posting here

Can't clean my collection cup on skimmer

It looks like the T on the outlet side of the skimmer is too high. When the skimmer is shut off, the water in the body will only drain as low as that T, as that's where the water level between the body and outlet plumbing equalizes. Nice skimmer by the way! Deltec, I presume?

    Southdown in Midwest or Chicago?

The last time I found any Southdown in Chicago was November of 2003. I do occaisonally see Old Castle in the Home Depots around here, but have heard that it doesn't alway pass the vinegar test.

For your situation, the best idea I could think of would...

    chiller

The JBJ Arctica 1/5HP. It can be plumbed as part of a closed loop with an over the tank feed. I ran the 1/3HP version of this chiller and was very pleased with its performance.

I guess dyslexia got the best of me when typing out the title for the thread. It should read: "65g reef IS back in action".
