silicone will work i have never had any problems with it but it must be 100% silicone. i used silicon on every thing, but u must let it dry for 48 hours befor use. but i like waiting a little longer just to make such its a go when its time.

i have never had any luck with chaeto. so when i up graded to a 150 gallon i used my 75 gallon as a display refugium. i turned to flame aglae, shaing brush and more but they seem to do me good.

test for nitrates, skim alittle harded and do water changes as needed. also watch out of algae bloom in ur display tank bc some algae no matter how small can grow if given the chance and lighting.

i would tie the algea to a rock with a rubber band. that would keep it where u want it and still have the high flow. thats what i did but i have a 75 display refugium and no power heads, being i have so much flow from the 150 gallon reef going to the sump/refugium. try it and see how u feel.

its set up as a reef and will stay as a reef. the 135 will just go into another room lol. i just cant stop reefing lol

well my bamboo has been with my reef tank for so long and yet none ove my clowns or smaller fish have been eaten. but i want to stay way from small fish with him. but the gourper i want would get to big for a 135. lion fish would be nice a sting ray i was thinking.

i was planning on tieing the two football shape together as a whole and have the football shape set on the bottom piece. i am planning on making the bottom more solid to support the football shape that will set right on top of it.

so i made a sample batch of portland and curshed coral and rock salt. ratio 2/3:2:1 but found out that the salt is just way to big for my likings. so tomorrow i am planning on breaking up the salt smaller. and trying that out. but the portland and crushed coral looked good so i am hoping...

ok so i didnt like the styrofoam look for the diy live rock so i re- designed it. so here it is.

i was planning on covering the styrofoam with the mix and styrofoam will be scrupped off after the mix has harded. also got some paint today so i can paint the bottom of the tank black.

ok so got all the mix for the diy live rock and i started the styrofoam frame that i will coat the mix with. it looks bad but when i get the mix on the styrofoam and round it all out it should look like a one of a kind. my girl wants a cave in it yet so alittle more work but it should be cool...
