I think they just go through cycles I had one for months that did nothing then poof I have a ton of them for no reason!

Ok I have tried Joe's Juice, Kalk. Paste, calcium dissolving in RO, and boiling water! Still have 'em. I am now QTing each rock and trying to treat them with out killing the other living things like brittle stars and mushrooms. Only result I have gotten is red slime where I use the Joe's Juice...

are you using ro/di water? Tap water even when treated has potential for diatoms. You said you pointed the power head down which is fine but you need to make sure something is still rippling the surface. (that will also help with any algae)

I thaw my frozen on a paper towel to absorb the juice and then feed has cut my PO4 down considerably.

what salt are you using if you have good levels in your salt water mix up you shouldn't need to be rescuing your tank like that. I think that article recommends that you strive for your levels to drop gradually together then water change. if you are having to correct the individual elements then...

Ok my only concern is putting the BTA and corals in a tank that has not cycled. all the LR can go in. I have never used ready Bacteria. If every one in the 29 tank is doing ok let the 55 cycle before you start changeing things. and keep 10 gal of salt on hand incase of emergency water change...

How is your clown? Test all the water perameters on the 55 PH, KH, Ammonia, NO2, NO3, Specific gravity and such you want to make sure the SG, PH and ALK are close to the 29 before moving the corals once in there you can slowly fix the parameters. The ich and such should die off in three weeks...

try testing DKH. I have stopped testing alk for the DKH you want it to be about 12 or 214.8ppm. Also there are some good filter pads that will help reduce your PO4 and NO3. If the fish look happy don't worry to much a crab or something may have gotten to the snail.

Ok I have aptasia, a lot of aptasia! I have done several treatments with Joe's juice and they seem to go away but, POP! out they come and then some! Can't add a peppermint shrimp I have a coral banded shrimp. Any thoughts?
