    Tank leak

It's a biocube so it is all contained in the back of the aquarium. The pump and the rack comes out but it's a self contained unit so I can't just move the housing. It's why I got this tank to begin with. It made the tank setup a breeze essentially put water in and plug it up

    Tank leak

I bought the wet sand too so it already had a good bacteria base before I started the tank so maybe that would help since it has an older than 5 weeks life?

    Tank leak

Be careful with the sand.  Transferring the sand may cause a bit of a cycle to start.  You may want to get some new dry sand for the 30g and then add just a cup or two of your LS from the cube.  Good luck!!! I have aragonite that is about 5 weeks old so I'd hate to go put more money into the...

    Tank leak

What I don't understand is how a leaky tank can mess with parameters, unless you didn't know it was leaking and you were adding freshwater top off. If you have a heater, the lower temps won't make any difference...the warm up can be controlled with a fan blowing across the top to cool off the...

    Tank leak

Yea if it was a new tank I would be going ballistic at some poor rep but unfortunately it was a used one. I was hoping it wasn't anything at first just coming over the top or something but alas it is coming out of the seals at the bottom mostly around the plastic back. It is very mild but I'm...

    Tank leak

I have sealed up the leaking parts from the outside for the time being I don't trust it long term but at least this does buy me some time to figure it out

    Tank leak

I recently began a saltwater biocube that I bought used. I have had it up and running going on 5 weeks and of course Asa I add fish a problem arises. I bought a tiny clownfish and cardinal fish to go with my cleanup crew ( minus a hermit commandeering the shiny shell of a snail are doing great)...

    Cleaning my Filter

I have a cube too and I just built a filter rack for the second column in the back. You can get a bag of filter fluff for cheap and just tear off a bunch and throw it away once it gets dirty and you don't have to worry about cleaning anything and if you have charcoal and live rock on the rack...

I recently bought several hermits with extra shells. When I got home I noticed one of them looked like they had a string looking thing coming out of them but just thought it was the remains of a poor snail trapped with them. Well now the string is on the outside of the shell and seems to have...

It now looks like it has built a mound kinda like a crayfish does. Does this sound like a good or bad freebie? There's two of them I just noticed both on snail shells

Also I bought a bunch of hermits and shells and one has two white hair looking things on it. At first I thought it was the remains of a poor snail trapped with the hungry/unhappy hermits but a week later it looks like it's moved to the outside of the shell. Any idea what this could be? It is...

It's the slime coat which just grows faster than I expected. It is all over my base rock which looks better than the white rock but not as cool as the purple colors on my original LR. Will it prevent the purple from expanding and if so how should I fix it? I know you can help seed it by brushing...

Yea it was definetly a special breeding pair. They are pretty but you are right everyone has their own value and the value is whatever someone is willing to pay. As for the damsels thanks for the heads up! I heard they could get aggressive but was not aware that it was that severe! I had not...

I would think that since they are hard to find the fish would be expensive here but maybe it's because the cost of living is so low? I did get my 30gallon biocube for 30 dollars with everything but a filter which I built for very cheap....any who does the order of the afore mentioned fish matter?

This is true but unless your crazy or loaded it makes no sense to go spend 300 dollars on a clownfish pair as your first one lol the store I am going to has some clowns and damsels and what not for under 20 all the way up to the expensive ones. I found one store with 3 dollar damsels. 20 to 30...

I'm going to start with a fire fish and a clown( not together ill add one of them next week) I'd also like a...
