    Help with closed loop.

    they are gravity fed, without a reservoir , directly to the pump. V^3 originally built with 12 openings, but i have closed off 4, leaving me 8, 1" (maybe 3/4") openings. leaves a nice broad flow, and i can adjust the outlets direction

    Help with closed loop.

    people often drill various panes for CLS ins and outs. you can do durso stands (with no air syphon breaks) over the top , but it's more clutter and etc. if done, right it can be very clean and hidden. since the tank is new and unfilled, i would say take advantage of that and build it how you...

    Underground water pipes.

    if you are still seriously considering this, remember that plantlife finds and forces itself into any area that contains water. maybe saltwater would stop this, or some plants, but some weeds or resistant tree will eventually force it's way into these little pipes. the whole thing will have...

    unknown algae help!

    first i had an outbreak of red turf algae, that stuff was tough to track down. only beaten with a group of new mexican turbos on the warpath. as soon as that algae was gone, it seemed the niche was filled by this annoying thing. this stuff clings and grows on everything, even my birdsnests and...

    using dead corals

    did they clean them with bleach, or are the recently dead from dying in the store? if the latter, why did they die in the store? do they or did they ever run copper? if you lost a coral, you could use the skeleton for that purpose. but to buy dead ones you have to think about the consequences.
