airforce is right, however the blue can also help you in that it is more natural to have a bluer tint, for most of your critters arent surfcae fish, so deeper the water gets the bluer it is.. I run 400w 20,000K radium MH, with 2x54 T-5 actinic. everyone seems to be digging life...

bang is right. I do have experience with them though. i use them for a supplement for my metal halide. just actinic only. if you look into a retro kit they arent that expensive, if you dig online. great lighting though, very intense and puts out excellent lumens, very worthy buy.

dont know that i would put any of those fish with eels.. pretty sure youd have a problem there.
