What would be the best bait, if anyone knows from experience?...

a mantis! While waiting for my Mom to get off the puter, I was staring at the tank with the lights off...a small thing darted across the sand bed in front of me and it looked like a gigantic pod, but after looking for a few seconds, it was a shrimp... about 3/4" long, very light coloured...

the thing is, I did! I hand picked every piece...took most of them out of the display tank, went over each one and chose the ones I liked... oh well... how I have it now looks very natural, but I really wanted the 'wall' appearance. Drew :)

does everyone else have trouble arranging LR? I added 40# of cured LR to my 90 gal with 90#+ LR already. . . I spent hours trying to arrange them, but it still looks like someone threw up multi-coloured rocks. :mad: Sometimes, they will fit together, but they look ugly when they do...

I know exactly what you're talking about...I had the same things when my tank was in its first few days of cycling... I assumed they were just an algae, so I cleaned 'em off with the scraper and pulled a couple out with a syringe, popped them under the microscope...they were algae definitely...

Its not like Ill have any inverts or anything that would benefit from a DSB...and obviouisly, I would be doing freqent water changes on the hospital/qt tank...so is CC okay to use in it? I know most meds will stay in the tank whether I go with sand or cc... Drew :)
