    Warning if considering anemone

when you first get an anenome they can take a few weeks to feel comfortable and find the right spot. BTAs dont really kill themselves like bahamian purple tip condy's and some others are known to do. dont go moving rocks around to help it, let it help itself, it should be fine. if the fit is...

Cleaner Shrimp - Has not molted in a long time!

jpc i agree with bang (as usual). when you first place an invert in your tank they will usually shed within the first 2 -6 days because of the change in water parameters from where they came. also, younger inverts are growing faster to get to adult size, so they will molt more often. that one...

    2003 Anemone Survey

PD, IME - i kept a BTA for 2 years under VHO (not PC, VHO is admittently stronger) although the anenome moved occasionally it would usually be in place for long periods of time until i made a change to the tank that may have warranted it to move, but the last year it did not move at all. this...

questions for the pros! with picts!

can you blow it off with a turkey baster? what powerhead? what do you think your overall GPH turnover is? as for the eggs most likely time will not tell. most eggs only last a few days before being eaten. if the eggs are not eaten, then the hatchlings / fry make for great fresh fish / coral food.

    Supplements vs Water Changes?

spanko, a general good rule of thumb for this hobby i have heard for years and adhere to myself is, "Never put something into your tank that you don't test for." this also includes things you obviously CANT test for. the supplements you are speaking of , Iodine, Strontium & Molybednium, are...
