IMO poeple do get banned way too much for stupid stuff. As long as you're not spamming, scamming, or using profanity i don't think you should be worried about getting banned. i got banned on R.C. for posting an add for my tank in the classifieds! Because i guess you cant do that for 9- days...

tanks dimensions? I would think the 2x175w + Pc would look best but tough to guage with the generalization of the post.

Update - 1 week Added some more LR and re aquascaped. Hoping to add a clownfish and a yellow watchman soon. found some pretty nice looking rock at my LFS. Descent coraline growth...

I have a nanowave 9 (48w) and i have a Viper 70w metal halide. I'm wondering how difficult it would be to transfer the metal halide and the fans that go with the fixture into my NW9 hood, keeping the PC's in there as well. I have no experience doing any lighting mods, but i'm just trying to...

Not a fan of UV's myself at all. i've always had more success with my reef tanks when not using a UV. Maybe would be useful on a very large fish only with expensive fish in it...But i wouldn't recomend them for a reef.

yeah i swapped out the original return for a MJ1000. I think the problem is with the lights. The fans arent strong. Right now i have a fan blowing across the tank and the feeding lid open, and its stayed between 80-81 all day.

I like kent PO remover. And purigen works good for me. I think they all work pretty well.

right now I have the heater set at 76 but it stays at 80 all night long even with the lights off. i might throw a viper on here. don't know yet

Set up:November 30th, 2008. Many of you know me here, I have been out of the hobby for about a year but now i'm getting back into it. I just set up a nanowave 9. Anybody else here have one of these? The biggest problem so far is keeping the temperature down...I cant get this thing below 80...
