    Lighting

I have 250 watt MH. They are single ended. Or you could go double ended 250's or 400 watt SE. Any of those, personaly with the way electric is going, I'd do the DE's.

Float valve bracket - almost done

What is it you are trying to do? I bent a piece of acrylic and used aquarium sealant to glue it to the side of my sump. I drill a hole to fit the float valve. The valve can be adjusted with that knob on the side for your water height, do you see it?

My first thought is that's alot of fish for a reef system. Do you have a big skimmer? DBS? Alot of LR? My 2nd thought is, was the water for the dip the same temp as the system it came from? The dip it self wont do anything provided it was the same temp and close to SG. You said the PH is...

    Which Water for Your Reef?

I am not surprized at all. Vending machines are only as good as the person tending to them. Bottled water, heh, anybody guess what kind of water it really is. Prolly just plain old city water from a tap. And my last comment, alot of wells are better than tap, IMO.

How to get rid of pyramid snails?

You don't. Check your snails often helps. Check your clams if you have one. The BEST i've done to get rid of them is pulled my sand bed. That really lowered their numbers. I have a 6 line wrasse also, they are "supossed" to eat them :notsure: . Yellow wrasse eat them also.

That's the other one, Monerary Bay, that looks great to. To grow the kelp, the ocean is pumped right into the tanks.

    BEST aquarium in the US!

I watched a show on the best ones, Boston, Shedd, and Hawaii were 3 of them. I think their was one more. :notsure: Hawaii grows out SPS for other aquariums, that's the best in my mind, I just need to get there myself.

    plant lighting

It's all the same except for the bulbs. You need 65K and higher for reefs. Plants are more like 4K.
