125g Reef Complete in DC Metro area

Interested in light....it's 72" right? How old? Last time bulbs were changed? Would even trade you my 96w x 4 w/ moonlights so you'll still have something decent to include with your sale if you want to keep a bundle. Inferno2000@Hotmail.com if the price is right. RO/DI too.

    Looking for a fox face

What about your LFS? Even if they don't carry one at the time you go, you can usually request that they order one for their next shipment. That would save you on shipping too.

    Free Fish Again

If you'll drive this way (NOVA), or at least meet me in the middle I'll take them. I have a 125 gal with only a foxface, perc clown, and a sailfin tang. Kinda bare...needs more fish. I actually REALLY want the purp tang.

does this setup look ok to you all?

I was thinking also, maybe pulling your rocks towards the center of the tank. With them huddled up against the back corner like that in this type of tank, you'll probably create a dead flow spot for detritus collection. It will also give the fish something to swim around?? Just a though...

Red Sea Wavemaster pro wavemaker for sale.

I thought you didn't buy it? So you wouldn't have LOST anything....and "loosing" is losing...chill out man, no one wanted a fight.

    Help please

In the end...should your tank already be level and the overflows are at different heights, if you raise the water level in the tank, you better make sure there's room for all of it in the sump. Should your return go out it's all gonna drain down.

    Torch Coral?

I keep mine in a flow area just enough to move the tentacles around. A short burst of flow every now and then isn't bad. If he's all over the place and actually looks like it might be uncomfortable, he will never fully come out and will probably eventually die.

    Too much light ?

Or instead of reducing photo period....add a light filter of some type. I've seen people use window screens...one ontop of another. Slowly remove one a week or so until you are at full light blasting power. ;)

Your thoughts on SG and Acclimation

That's a pretty wild range zano... Definitely shock...I've read that salinity should not be changed more than .002 per DAY. Next time use a quarantine tank or even a bucket for this slow process. My SG is at 1.025-1.026 depending on evaporation. I don't have an auto-topoff yet.

    feather duster question

The tube probably has some dead cells on it that the snails are feeding on. As far as the placement goes, you can put them wherever you want, wherever they look best to you. If they do not like where you have put them, they (the worm) will pop out and build a new tube in their desired...

    "Sweating" TANK????

Those would be noticeable bubbles....tank water would have to be cooler than ambient temperature to "sweat" condense. There's no way the outside of your tank is coated in water like a glass of ice water gets. Don't waste time if you already know it's a leak. That would mean one or more of...
